U15A - International Silver Stick Finalists
Port Huron, MI - The Midwest 49ers U15A team delivered an exceptional performance this past weekend at the International Silver Stick Finals, competing in a highly competitive U15/14U A division featuring 16 teams from across North America, including nine from the United States and seven from Canada. 

Round Robin Results:
The 49ers opened the tournament with a decisive 2–0 victory over the Kent Cobras, champions of the Watford Regional. Early offensive pressure secured the lead, with goals from Nathan Bross and Max McIntyre, while goaltender Owen Fry recorded the shutout.
In their second matchup, the team showcased its offensive depth in a commanding 14–1 win over the Montgomery Ice Devils of Maryland. Scoring contributions came from Cole Weltz, Hayden Adams, Mason Potts, Colton Kenny, Ethan McIntosh, Zack White, and Carson Weldrick. The third game featured a tightly contested battle against the Chesterfield Falcons of Missouri. After exchanging goals throughout the game, the 49ers secured a late marker to earn a 3–2 victory. Goals were credited to Max McIntyre (2) and Cole Weltz. The final round‑robin game pitted the Niners against the Burlington Eagles, champions of the Pelham Regional. In another competitive matchup, the Niners had the lead in the third period before the Eagles responded to secure a 3-3 tie. Goals were scored by Ethan McIntosh, Hayden Adams, and Mason Potts. The team concluded round‑robin play tied for first place, with Burlington earning the top seed on goal differential.

Playoff Round:

Advancing to the quarter‑finals, the 49ers delivered a strong performance in a 5–1 win over the Canton Wolves AA of Michigan. Scoring came from Cole Weltz (2), Max McIntyre, Mason Potts, and Nathan Bross.  The semi‑final round featured a rematch with the Burlington Eagles. Despite an early start and frigid arena conditions, the 49ers controlled the game from the outset, securing a 4–0 victory. Goals were recorded by James Hawkins (2), Ryder McDonald, and Cole Weltz.  Goaltender Owen Fry recorded his second shutout.

Championship Final:
The championship game brought a second meeting with the Kent Cobras, who had eliminated two previously undefeated teams enroute to the final. The Cobras established an early lead, and although the 49ers mounted a determined comeback, they ultimately fell 7–4, concluding the tournament as International Silver Stick Finalists. Goals were scored by Max McIntyre, Ethan McIntosh (2), and Cole Weltz.
