The Midwest 49ers organization is celebrating a historic moment as both the U15A and U16A teams have been crowned WOAA Champions, marking the first WOAA titles in 49er history.
In their final rounds of the WOAA playoffs, both teams swept their opponents, showcasing exceptional teamwork, strong defensive play, and timely scoring.
With WOAA titles now proudly in hand, both teams will advance to the OMHA Finals Tournament, April 3–5, where they will compete for one of the most prestigious symbols in Ontario minor hockey — the Red Hats.
This tournament represents a high stage of competition for these athletes, and our organization could not be more excited for them.
We extend a huge congratulations to the players, coaches, and families of both teams. The 49ers community is proud. We will be cheering loudly for you at the OMHA finals!
